Our campsite is in such a great spot, right near the A696 road. It's super convenient because it gives you easy access to all sorts of awesome attractions in the area. Just a quick 10-minute drive away, you'll find Wallington, a really cool place owned by the National Trust. They've got this amazing collection of paintings, decorative arts, and ceramics as well as the famous Wallington dragons in the grounds. If you're willing to venture a bit further, Cragside is only a half-hour drive away and offers art deco interiors and lovely woodland strolls. History enthusiasts can visit Hadrian's Wall, a 20-minute drive from our campsite, where they can walk in the footsteps of ancient Romans. Another historical site to explore is the old Roman camp at Vindolanda, which can be reached in 35 minutes by car. 

If you're planning a family trip and have little ones in tow, I've got a fantastic suggestion for you. How about visiting Northumberland Zoo? It's super close to us and offers some amazing up-close encounters with meerkats, raptors, and even giant bats! 

Just 45 minutes away, you'll find Alnwick Castle and Gardens, which is famous for being a filming location for the Harry Potter movies. It's a real treat for both kids and adults alike. Plus, they've got a fascinating poison garden and medieval enactments that will transport you back in time. Now, if you and your family are beach lovers, you definitely won't want to miss out on Bamburgh. It's just an hour away from our campsite and boasts vast sandy beaches that are perfect for exploring. And to top it off, you can also visit the majestic Bamburgh Castle while you're there. It's absolutely breathtaking! 

 

Oh, and for all you water sports enthusiasts out there, Keilder Water and Forest Park is only a short 45-minute drive away. They've got plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, whether you're a land lover or a water lover. 

So, no matter what your family's interests are, there's something for everyone!
